Challenge
Motorsport medical teams operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where clinicians must document incidents, assessments, treatments and medical decisions quickly and accurately.
Castle Combe Circuit Medical Centre relied on paper-based forms that reflected its established clinical processes. However, paper documentation made it harder to maintain consistent, legible records and ensure that completed information was readily available for review, governance and post-event reporting.
The Medical Centre wanted to digitise its records without forcing clinicians to adopt an unfamiliar or generic workflow.
Solution
Doc-works worked with the Castle Combe medical team to configure Scribe ePCR around the Medical Centre’s existing processes.
Rather than replacing familiar workflows with a standard electronic form, the solution reproduced and improved the way clinicians already recorded information at the circuit.
Two bespoke digital forms were introduced:
Full ePCR Form
A comprehensive electronic patient care record for documenting:

Fit to Drive Form
A specialist assessment form enabling clinicians to record when a driver or rider has been medically examined and whether they are considered fit to continue competing.
Both forms can be completed electronically at the point of care, helping clinicians capture information consistently while reducing reliance on handwritten documentation.
Completed records are securely stored and can be accessed quickly by authorised users when required.
