Doc-works has announced a new strategic partnership with Harris Health Alliance (HHA) to enhance the delivery of electronic patient clinical records (ePCRs) and mission-critical data integrations across UK ambulance services.
The partnership brings together Doc-works’ highly configurable ePCR platform with Harris Health Alliance’s extensive experience delivering large-scale NHS integrations, including NHS Spine, Child Protection Information Sharing (CPIS) and Summary Care Record services. HHA currently supports around 80% of UK ambulance trusts, and together the two organisations will provide a unified, future-proof approach to ePCR delivery, implementation, and integration.
By combining strengths, the partnership will help ambulance services reduce risk in large digital programmes, accelerate transformation timelines, and maximise value by building on proven infrastructure.
Ceri Jones, CEO at Doc-works, said:
“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting ambulance services under immense operational pressure. We understand that trusts need solutions that are reliable, adaptable, and delivered with confidence.
“Doc-works’ ePCR is designed to adapt around trust-specific workflows without the heavy configuration burden that can slow transformation. By bringing this together with HHA’s infrastructure, compliance expertise, and delivery capability, we can offer a dependable pathway to modernisation that genuinely reflects the realities of frontline emergency care.”
Doc-works and Harris Health Alliance have already worked closely together for the past three years, delivering ePCR and critical data integrations for St John Ambulance. This collaboration has supported the charity in providing first aid services to thousands of people each year and demonstrated the strength of the combined approach in real-world, high-pressure environments.
Jack Philpotts, Vice President at Harris Health Alliance, said:
“There is a real opportunity to bring the best of Harris Health Alliance and Doc-works together for ambulance services. Trusts want confidence in capability and longevity, and reassurance that complex digital programmes will be delivered with the least possible risk.
“With Doc-works’ ePCR expertise and our ability to host large systems and deliver complex projects, we can provide a unified solution for ambulance trusts across the UK. As a combined team, we will continue to push each other to improve patient care and support trusts responding to daily system pressures.”
Doc-works specialises in delivering cost-effective, clinically led SaaS solutions for emergency and urgent care services, with over 20 years’ experience working with NHS trusts and managing hundreds of thousands of patient records. Its platforms are designed to support rapid decision-making, enabling clinicians to capture and access critical information safely at the point of care.
With NHS paramedics facing overwhelming demand and rising call volumes, access to accurate patient information in real time has never been more critical. Emergency crews often have seconds to make decisions, and having the right data available en route can significantly improve clinical confidence and outcomes.
Through the partnership, Harris Health Alliance will build on its existing EPR-agnostic integrations by rolling out GP Connect integration alongside Doc-works’ ePCR platform. This will enable secure, bi-directional data sharing between ambulance services and GP systems, providing real-time access to GP-held information such as medications and allergies.
Jack Philpotts added:
“We share a strong sense of purpose and a deep understanding of the challenges ambulance trusts face. By leveraging existing infrastructure and combining our expertise, this partnership enables meaningful cost savings while improving capability and resilience for our customers.”
